Volunteer in both Arusha and Zanzibar within the same program!
The Fall program provides the unique opportunity to live and work in both Arusha and Zanzibar within one program. This combination allows volunteers insight into the dynamics of a Maasai, rural lifestyle, compared to an Islamic, island lifestyle, and how these two environments affect people, educational systems, and effective pedagogy in each location. Volunteers during this program will split into separate community and schools teams in order to continue the work established by the Summer programs in each location.

The first 5 weeks of the program [September 10 – October 12] will be held in Arusha, and will focus on continuing English and General Science teachings at the local primary school and running after-school activities. The team will then transition to Zanzibar during the second half of the program [October 15th to November 16th] in order to build upon the work done by the Zanzibar C program in schools and throughout the community. 

Logistics:
The Fall program is consistently a smaller, tight-knit group of 10-15 volunteers. Its timing within the calendar year also offers the least expensive airfare of any program, as well as longer time to fundraise the volunteer program fee.
